Q: What can I expect from the house call grooming services ?Here's What to Expect If you've never used a housecall groomer before, you might be wondering how it all works. At Fur Rebel, we keep things simple, convenient, and dog-centered. I’ll arrive at your home in my personal vehicle — no vans or mobile trailers. I’ll meet you and your pet right at your door, whether you’ve got a bouncy puppy or a senior pup who needs extra care. I bring everything needed for a full grooming session. All you need to provide is: A sink or bathing area for your dog’s bath A 4x4 ft space with access to an outlet Occasionally: a towel, broom, or dustpan or vacuum We’ve even groomed in climate-controlled garages — we're flexible and focused on your dog’s comfort. I clean during and after the groom to the best of my ability. There may be a strand of hair or two. Things you can do to minimize this would be, leaving out a vacuum for me to use or if you have a cleaning service, scheduling them the day after the groom.

Q:Where do you groom my pet?A: This can be in any area of your home you are comfortable with getting a little hairy. Recommended areas include non-carpeted, well ventilated and well lit rooms. It's best the area be quiet and does not have a lot of foot traffic.

Q: Can I stay with my pet for the groom?A: You're more than welcome to stay and observe! Some clients like to stay nearby or pop in and out — that’s totally up to you. However, if your pet becomes anxious or overly excited, we may kindly ask you to step out of the room until the appointment is finished. I have many clients that choose to stay with their pet. Most of the time I have seen pets do better when their owners stay with them.

Q: How long will it take?A: Each pet is an individual and has individual needs, typically you can expect a full groom appointment to take between 2 - 4 hours. Please keep in mind the first grooming will be on the longer side because it's important to take time to develop a relationship with your pet, as well as getting to know your house and the new environment. Matting and difficulties with grooming will also increase time. Also depends on how many pets are being done in the home that day.

Q: What form of payments do you accept?A: Cash, Venmo, Cash App, and Credit/Debit are all available forms of payment.

Q: What happens if I cancel my appointment?A: Appointments are limited, please do everything you can to keep your appointment! I can groom when no ones home as well! Of course if you need to reschedule no worries! Please let me know as soon as you can to save another appointment slot for you. Last minute cancellations of appointments are costly and the potential earnings lost cannot be recovered. Therefore, at least 48 hours notice is required. Failure to give adequate notice will result in a charge.

Q: Can I contact you by phone?A: To reach me faster, please send a text message. If you'd rather speak on the phone, simply leave a voicemail message. I will get back by the end of the day. Please allow some time for text messages as well, I don't respond while I'm grooming pets. In the unfortunate event your voicemail gets lost and I don't contact you I apologize sincerely. Please attempt to call back and/or send a text message and I will be sure to get back to you.

Q: Can you groom my puppy or anxious pet?Yes! House-call is great option for anxious pets or first timers. It is strongly recommended to set up a frequent grooming schedule to heal anxiety or prevent altogether!

Q: What are the operating hours and scheduling options for Fur Rebel?A: At Fur Rebel, we know your time is precious. That's why our grooming services are by appointment only. This way, we can do house calls and give your pets one-on-one attention right at your place. We have slots during the week and some weekends too. Just give us a shout to book a time that works best for you and your furry friend.

Q: How does Fur Rebel handle pets with challenging behavior during grooming sessions?A: At Fur Rebel, we understand that every pet is unique, and some may require extra time and patience during grooming sessions. Our personalized house call services ensure that no pet is rushed through the process, prioritizing their comfort and well-being above all. For pets with more challenging behavior, we may recommend multiple shorter sessions to gradually acclimate them to the grooming experience until they are ready to handle longer appointments. Most grooming visits can be safely and comfortably completed in one visit. By working closely with each pet and giving them the care and affection they deserve, we create a stress-free grooming experience right in the comfort of your home.
